Test standard is an essential element to support reliability test. Electronic products and industrial products will encounter a variety of different stress combinations in the environment, and different products need to face different environments, so it is necessary to subdivide different samples at the same time, in the test method also make corresponding subdivision, in order to accurately achieve the purpose of testing.




The origin of reliability and testing standards can be traced back to WORLD WAR II (WAR-2), when more than half of the electronic machines sent to the front line failed, and 50% of the electronic weapons delivered in actual combat failed in storage (dust-proof test). Seventy percent of naval electronic machines break down (salt spray test). After the war, the U.S. department of defense established an Advisory Group on Reliability ofElectronic Equipment (AGREE) in August 1952. Then, in 1957, came the Well-known AGREE Report (Electronic Machine Reliability Advisory Committee Report), in which the U.S. Military declared quantitative reliability as a basic criterion for weapon purchases. Due to the rapid development of science and technology after the war, electronic products have gradually penetrated into human life. In order to ensure the quality of products, reliability test has been introduced into human life from military.
