Polarizer test conditions - English full name: polarizer.
It is one of the basic parts of LCD. Polarizer is a kind of light plate that only allows light in a certain direction to pass through. In the process of making liquid crystal plates, one piece must be used up and down, and placed in the wrong direction. Its main purpose is to make the light source produce a phase difference when there is an electric field and no electric field, so as to show subtitles or patterns.
Relevant test conditions of polarizer:
⊙ due to the molecular structure of iodine is easy to be destroyed under high temperature and high humidity, the polarizer produced by iodine dyeing technology has poor durability, which can only meet the following requirements:
High temperature: 80 ℃, 500 hours
Damp heat: 60 ℃, 90% RH, working conditions below 500 hours
⊙ however, with the expansion of the application scope of LCD products, the requirements for the wet and hot working conditions of polarizing products are becoming more and more stringent. There has been a demand for polarizing plate products that are required to work at 100 ℃ and 90% RH. At present, the highest conditions are ":
High temperature: 105 ℃, 500 hours
Damp heat: test requirements under 90 ℃, 95% RH and 500 hours
⊙ the durability test of polarizing plate includes four test methods: high temperature, damp heat, low temperature and cold heat shock, of which the most important is the damp heat test. High temperature test refers to the high temperature resistant working conditions of the polarizer under constant baking temperature. At present, according to the technical level of the polarizer, it is divided into:
General purpose type: the working temperature is 70 ℃ and 500 hours
Medium durable type: the working temperature is 80 ℃ and 500 hours
High durability type: the working temperature is 90 ℃ and 500 hours, and the above three levels.
⊙ as the basic material of the polarizing film, PVA film, iodine and iodide are materials that are very easy to hydrolyze, and also because the pressure-sensitive adhesive used in the polarizing plate is easy to deteriorate under high temperature and high humidity conditions, the most important items in the environmental test of the polarizing plate are high temperature and damp heat.
